Chicken Crust Pizza

Speaking of the chicken pizza crust, it is just 4 basic parts plus spices and you can make it without any hassle. On top of that, it is so tasty and has a chewy texture similar to a usual pizza crust, and you can just add different toppings to customize it.

I don’t always want to go the extra mile so I went for marinara or pizza sauce, fresh mozzarella, tomato, and fresh basil leaves. You can even put things like pesto, sliced mushrooms, spinach, and parmesan cheese.

Ingredients you will need

I’m happy that you will need this chicken pizza crust recipe with only a few ingredients! Here’s the list:

Chicken Crust Pizza

  • Ground chicken: The uncooked ground chicken is the base of the crust and ensures that it is strong enough to hold the toppings.
  • Parmesan cheese: When applying the crust, the very finely ground parmesan cheese tastes great and also ensures that the crust stays whole.
  • Egg: It bonds the ingredients together and turns the crust into a crust.
  • Seasonings: A mixture of garlic powder, Italian seasoning, kosher & pepper gives a strong Italian flavor.
  • Toppings: Yes, you can really use any that are your favorite! We like freshly shredded sharp mozzarella, slices of tomato, and fresh basil too.

Variations

  • Use ground turkey: Ground turkey can be used instead of the ground chicken if you have it as a substitute.
  • Different sauce: Apart from the normal pizza sauce, you can use homemade pesto. You can also experiment with homemade Alfredo sauce if you want to alter the taste.
  • Toppings: Add a personalized touch to it by picking from these toppings: grilled veggies, sausage, pepperoni, spinach, sauteed onions, black olives, or if you’re up to it, whole wheat flour. Still, try not to use too many to prevent the dough from becoming overweight.
