Delicious Turkey Burger Recipe: Healthy, Easy, Grilled
While it is an audacious declaration no doubt, I can confidently say that these are the best Turkey Burgers you will ever eat! They are very tender and perfectly seasoned and are a healthier choice that gives you so much great taste.
Why You’ll Love This Easy Turkey Burgers Recipe
- You’ll Truly Look Forward to Kitchen-Time with Them. Although turkey burgers are often associated with negative impressions, it is not a lie to say that these repudiations are merited. Dry, tasteless, and inherently underwhelming, several turkey burgers out there would have us swearing that they should have just been regular burgers instead. There was a lot of downs and ups before I got here.
- String of Umami. The umami taste bank is taken care of by me with chipotle paste, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder. Each of these foods contributes to the umami punch you usually get from a traditional beef burger, but on top of that they are all relatively healthy in comparison to the same dish made with beef. The same flavor bombs are used in Chicken Burgers, by the way.
- Just Another Turkey Burger Recipe That You Usually Cook. Although I’ve presented turkey burger recipes on this website in the past (my Italian Turkey Burgers and Chipotle Sweet Potato Turkey Burgers are reader faves!), I decided to create a plain old turkey burger that could be used in the same way as a beef burger patty. You can put almost anything on these babies!
How to Make Turkey Burgers
The Ingredients
- Lean Ground Turkey. I used 93% lean ground turkey meat. Ninety percent is just as okay, as I would not use any that are leaner than ninety-three percent.
- Panko Bread Crumbs. You can use homemade breadcrumbs or even the store-bought type, but I prefer the Panko brand. The consistency of the crumbs is just perfect.
- Worcestershire Sauce. Don’t leave out the Worcestershire sauce! If you are allergic to seafood, you can get a bottle of vegetarian Worcestershire sauce. It’s the main factor for the taste of these burgers.
- Tomato Paste. The trick is to put the rest into tablespoon portions, freeze them in a plastic bag, then the next time you need a tablespoon or two of tomato paste put them in the recipe without needing to buy a full can.
- Hot Sauce. It’s from life; you can use as much or as little as you prefer.
- Onion Powder. The onion taste is supplied without increasing the amount of large onions used.
- Egg. Egg with panko also do the job of the binder to secure the meat of your turkey burger is so ticktack and the egg ensures your turkey burgers are juicy.
- For Serving. Whole wheat hamburger buns, cheese, sliced avocado or Homemade Guacamole, and/or any other burger toppings you like.

Recipe Tips and Tricks
- Dark Meat Option. You could order this type of turkey from the meat counter or butcher store, and you will receive a turkey meat option that is all dark meat and so the burger will be extra juicy.
- Know That Turkey Burger Mixture Feels Different Than Beef Burgers. The meat mixture is softer and moister than the one used in beef products, but that’s because we have to involve such an additional fluid in order the burger patties to remain juicy. You haven’t made anything wrong!
- They’re unsuitable for grilling. I am one of those who are now so adept with the turkey burger recipe that they can troublelessly fire up a pan, a turkey burger, and a fancy dinner. Since the turkey batter is not hard and dry, grilling isn’t helpful, and baking the oven will result in a burger that is much drier, albeit cooked without the sear that stovetop cooking provides.
- Don’t cook turkey burgers before you freeze them. To make them keep without drying, it freezes them in the ice. Shape the turkey breast into patties, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap, and store it in the freezer until it’s completely frozen. Transfer the patties to a freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
- Use a meat thermometer. For this reason, one should be careful not to cook turkey meat so much so as not to make mistakes because this is a one chance thing that can go later.
